Brenda Thomas

Brenda serves as the Communications and Planning Services Manager for the Fresno Council of Governments, serving 15 cities and the County of Fresno. Her responsibilities include administration & management of the Fresno County Airport Land Use Commission, Fresno COG’s Measure C programs and staff, development of Fresno COG’s Overall Work Program, public Information and outreach, event planning, websites, media relations, and graphic design. She assists with the Measure C New Technology Program, Regional Transportation Plan development and various committees. She is a member of WTS, advancing women in transportation.

Brenda grew up in Fresno and has an undergraduate degree from California State University, Fresno. She has been with the Fresno COG since 1994 in many roles and capacities. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and three dogs, traveling and water sports.
