Shunyi is a planner with the Merced County Association of Governments, where she contributes to resiliency- and safety-focused transportation planning projects through research, policy analysis, and community engagement. She values professional development and ongoing professional growth, and believes that being a good planner is rooted in curiosity, reflection, and continuous learning. Shunyi looks forward to supporting APA’s mission and helping to build a collaborative planning community through board service.

Shunyi holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Real Estate and Development (with distinction) from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University.
