Simran serves as a Principal Planner at Fresno Council of Governments (FCOG) serving 16 member agencies in the region. Prior to returning home to Fresno, Simran was a Planner I at the County of San Luis Obispo, thus having insight in both land use and transportation planning. At FCOG, Simran manages goods movement projects, active transportation plans and projects, new technology, and the circuit planning engineering program.
She earned her master’s degree in Public Policy (MPP) at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 2022 specializing in City and Regional Planning, received a Bachelor’s in Business Economics from University of California, Irvine in 2018, and Associates in Business Administration from Clovis Community College in 2016.
Simran hopes to engage other planners in striving to eliminate disparities while improving outcomes for all and envisions a brighter future for all Central Valley residents.
